The Copper Penny Players come from all walks of life. They range in age from 18 to 80 and may travel from as far away as Princeton and Philadelphia to be together. What they all have in common is a desire to sing and have a good time, regardless of musical experience. The Copper Penny Players have been led by Fred Miller since 1981 >>

A native of Albuquerque, Fred studied piano as a boy with Ralph Berkowitz, former dean of Tanglewood and accompanist for 20 years to the great cellist Piatagorsky. In New York, he studied acting for two years with stage and film legend Geraldine Page and vocal performance with Tony award winner Helen Gallagher.

As a commerical actor, Fred has been the homeowner harrassed by a 5'10" blade of grass on the national Lawn Doctor commercials, wrote and broadcast his own radio program on WDVR, 89.7-FM, and for 25 years has run the Copper Penny Players >>
